Ok, so yesterday, we have one of the best snows that Nashville has had in several years. It closed down the main street festival (or at least fundamentally did so.) Out of all of the scheduled appearances, two called to say they’d be there. Everyone else said no way. That’s to be expected. We went down anyways just in case the Celtic Dancers were there. We had a feeling that Mary would really get into them, if they weren’t too loud. If they were too loud, then William would really get into them. Either way, a win!
They were one of the ones that said no way. Oh well.
Fast forward, oh, 24 hours. Easter egg hunt for Polk Place. There’s snow out, no way this is happening.
Wrong.
It’s 60+ degrees, and after yesterday, it’s definitely short sleeve or light long sleeve weather.
So we are definitely ‘ON’ for the hunt, and Mary was asking about it every, oh 5 minutes, until time to go. But William had fallen asleep, so Jeff took Mary while I stayed with him. This leads to pictures like this:
I honestly am not sure WHAT emotions are going through Mary.
Thankfully, or not, William woke about 10 minutes after they left, so I pulled the Stroller out, and got ready to load him up, only to find out that he went back to sleep. Naturally. 5 minutes later, he’s awake again, and I’m strapping him into the seat. This turned out to be for the best, as we have this:
Blue Icing on a cupcake is awesome!
Enough of my ramblings, Mary hunted eggs, William ate cupcakes and candy that Mary collected for him before her turn to hunt eggs began.
And William finished it off at the end by coloring in Mama’s lap, with Gusto!
Now, we only have ??? egg hunts left (I know of at least 2 others, but I’m sure I’m missing some)
Wow! What an exciting weekend! Snow and hunting Easter eggs!
William looks like he is hanging in there — how are Mommy and Daddy doing?
Hope all is well — Julie
