It’s another gloomy day in Franklin. It isn’t raining today but overcast with a slight chill in the breeze. We’ve stayed indoors mostly and have been taking it easy. MaryVic declared a pajama day and stayed in hers all day long.
We had a nice waffle breakfast. Greg worked on backup of the photos and organizing the 2006 pictures. It was supposed to take an hour but 2006 was a mess with more pictures than 2007 and 2008 combined.
I washed clothes and have puttered around the house. William spent some time upstairs with Daddy in the bonus room. MaryVic stayed downstairs with me for a while.
It was all good until I looked up and she threw a little gumball bounce balls at the television. I made her find the ball and give it to me. She apologized but I still made her sit in timeout for a bit. I went upstairs and told Greg about it. The t.v. isn’t damaged but he could hear her screaming from her time out spot downstairs. I threw the ball away and had a talk with her. She promised not to throw balls in the house again. Of course, in review with Daddy upstairs she could barely remember her promise. A quick prompt from Momma that I would hate to have to throw all her balls away refreshed her memory.
William napped while he was upstairs and woke very grumpy. Apparently I’m a failure as a mom in his eyes because I could not put the cheese slices back together after he broke them while eating. Everything resulted in wails. He did manage to eat a little bit and we went outside on the back porch.
I grabbed the bubble stuff and blew bubbles while he laughed and tried to catch them. I noticed some one looking down on us from the guest bedroom. The movement of the blinds caught my eye. MaryVic was downstairs in the next 10 seconds coming outside. I got her easter zoo bubbles and she blew bubbles for William. They had a lot of fun.

We played snow with the pear tree blossoms. Daddy appeared with oreos and MaryVic promptly adhered herself to his side bouncing in anticipation. And after eating an oreo, nothing hits the spot like a little tree climbing.

I started dinner while they watched Kiki’s Delivery Service. MaryVic likes Kiki and I think William likes her expressive cat, Jiji. It is a sweet little story but I can’t imagine MaryVic going off at 13 to live on her own for a year.
